As Christians we are called to be witnesses of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ.

Mission and Community Outreach

To witness to God’s love and proclaim the good news of the Gospel, we must reach out into the community and the world. To this end, our church dedicates TIME, SPACE, and FINANCIAL RESOURCES to various mission and outreach programs.

With our TIME

• we work to raise funds to support our Holiday Food Basket ministry
• we offer pastoral care counseling to people in need
• we participate in special programs for children, such as Angel Tree (Prison Fellowship) and Christmas Shoeboxes (Samaritan's Purse)
• we offer premarital counseling to engaged couples
• we lead worship at Maplewood Manor (county nursing home) on the third Sunday of every month
  

With our SPACE, we reach out to community groups by offering use of our facilities. For example,

• we charter a local Cub Scout pack
• we provide space for the Living Resources day rehabilitation program
• we sponsor the Little Angels Nursery School
• we welcome community members during special Village celebrations and events, such as the Village's annual Victorian Christmas celebration and parade
  

With our RESOURCES we dedicate 10 percent of our undesignated income to support mission enterprises beyond our doors. In 2008, we supported the following individuals/organizations with mission dollars:

• Scripture Union (Bible teaching ministry of Rich Patterson) 
• Leading the Way Radio Ministry
• Christ Episcopal Church Food Pantry
• Shelters of Saratoga (only homeless shelter in Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties)
